GASSHUKU INFORMATION
Once again we will be staying at The Last Resort in Manning Park. This historic lodge has 3 floors with rooms of various sizes and layouts. Rooms will be assigned. Training takes place a short walk away across the road in The Tamarack Room. The hot tub and pool are a mere front roll distance away from there. Lots of photos to view for the first time participant at aikikai.ca
We are very pleased to welcome back Namba Shihan, 7th dan, from The World Headquarters of Aikido in Japan as our guest instructor.

An Aikido seminar is a transformative event that brings together practitioners from various dojos to share in an intensive, focused training experience. Led by high-ranking guest shihans or senior instructors, these gatherings offer a rare opportunity to explore the nuances of Aiki beyond the scope of daily practice. Participants immerse themselves in several hours of rigorous training, refining their technique through diverse perspectives and the energy of a larger community. These seminars often serve as a bridge between different lineages, fostering a spirit of "world family" and mutual growth.
Beyond the physical technicality, seminars are vital for building inter-dojo relationships and deepening one's understanding of the art’s philosophical roots. The atmosphere is one of heightened concentration and collective effort, often culminating in belt examinations or communal social gatherings. Whether you are a white belt or a seasoned dan-holder, attending a seminar provides a significant "leap" in your personal development and technical precision.
