Can I try a class before committing?
Absolutely! We encourage you to try a free class — just come in comfy athletic wear (or a gi, if you have one), jump on the mats, and experience the community firsthand.
What should I wear or bring?
Start in sweatpants and a shirt you don't have a serious attachment to — or a training gi if you have one. Bring water, and an open mind — everything else, we’ll provide.
Is Aikido a good workout or self‑defence?
Yes - to both! Aikido builds flexibility, whole‑body coordination, and endurance. It also trains calmness under stress and practical defence skills.
How often are the classes and what are the fees?
Classes are currently offered twice a week, Sundays at 3:30 and Tuesdays at 5:30.
Both are 1.5 hours.
We offer two payment options: a $15 drop-in fee or $140 for a quarterly membership.
